Terms and Conditions: Classes, Workshops and Tutoring
Safety
That Kid Life is covered with public liability insurance. All of our teachers are first aid trained, with an up-to-date DBS check.
Cancellation Policy
We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations of our art and craft workshops, tuition and classes, unless in exceptional circumstances, as determined by Lauren Astrella. If for any reason a class or workshop is cancelled, you will be informed via email and issued a refund within 3 working days.
Bookings may be transferred to a different session, subject to availability, up to 48 hours before the class or workshop. Please email lauren@thatkidlife.co.uk to arrange this. Classes or tuition that have already passed cannot be transferred to future dates. Full details can be found on our policies page.
You can find the terms and conditions for our art and craft parties here.
Booking our Services
Please note that classes, workshops and tutoring are not confirmed until payment has been made in advance via That Kid Life website.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking or to cancel an existing booking for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to, if a customer is abusive or threatening in some way, or we feel a booking might put our teachers in a dangerous, inappropriate or uncomfortable position.
Liability
Please note that all of our classes, workshops and tuition are appropriate to the age or key stage of the children outlined on our website. You should be aware that the activities will not be appropriate for children outside the specified age range.
By booking a class, workshop or tuition with That Kid Life you understand that you release us from any liability associated with accidents of any kind. This includes but is not limited to accidents occurring to any adults or children.
In the unlikely event that refunds or compensation are requested, you accept that any refunds or compensation given, will be limited to the total value of the cost of hiring our services.
All classes, workshops and tuition are exclusive to That Kid Life and all material is copyrighted and the property of That Kid Life.
What you will need for classes, workshops and tutoring:
Old clothes are advised for all creative sessions. Aprons are provided for ‘messy’ activities, such as painting, but That Kid Life cannot be held responsible for any stained clothing or belongings. We do use washable art supplies, wherever possible.
Online participants:
You will need to be able to access Zoom and be ready for a prompt start at the agreed time. If there are any issues with the connection, I agree to wait for 5 minutes while a solution is found.
Any other equipment required for sessions will be outlined to you via email at least 3 days beforehand.
For ages 5 and under:
We tend to set activities out on the floor for this age group.
For safety reasons, children should be supervised by responsible adults.
During our classes, workshops and tutoring sessions, we request that children do not eat and drink (bottled water is ok). All classes and parties are strictly nut-free.
