TOP 3 ART AND CRAFT PARTY IDEAS

Since I started running craft parties at the beginning of 2022, I have been inundated with requests on themes, dates and incredible ideas. If you’ve ever thought about running craft parties, or holding one for your own child, there’s never been a better time. The kids LOVE them and you can leave someone else to do the tidying up! Art and craft parties tend to be much calmer and quieter too as, with the right party leader, they’ll be super focused on their fun and engaging projects.

I have a whole range of art and craft parties for kids across Essex in the next few months, ranging in theme from Roblox to rainbows and animals to Arsenal! However, there are a few parties that are easily the front runners in popularity and have been great fun for the kids every single time, so let’s do a little round-up.

Dreamcatchers

I am quickly losing count of just how many party guests have made dreamcatchers with me! From an embroidery hoop, washi tape and wool to beautiful creations to hang by their bedsides, they never disappoint. Dreamcatchers are also a brilliant option for those wanting me to host parties in their home, as the mess is practically non-existent. This mindful craft for parties is ideal for any number of children, great for teamwork skills and I am yet to see two dreamcatchers that look even remotely similar. It’s obvious why this is the top choice for craft parties this year, especially for 8th, 9th and 10th birthdays.

Hobby Horses/Unicorns/Dinosaurs

This is a crafter's dream birthday party and ideal for 6th, 7th and 8th birthdays. It is perfect for holding in halls or our studio, as it can be a little messier. We use all sorts of crafty bits and bobs to add to our designs, including sparkles, paint sticks, collaging scraps and lots more! It’s great fun and, don’t worry, we’ll supply the aprons on this one!!

Paint Parties

Ideal for 7-12 years, paint parties are perfect for any theme. From beautiful handmade, wooden Encanto houses or rainbows, to canvases, these sessions have also been incredibly popular this year. We have drawn whales, owls, mermaids and lots more, with careful guidance from a qualified primary school teacher, before learning some painting techniques to add a personal touch to their paintings.

Want to hold a paint party at home? Have a look at our new party kits - it includes everything you need for smaller gatherings!

And, what’s more, these parties have all been such a huge hit because the children leave looking so proud of their new creations, in a bag they’ve decorated themselves too. I’m just waiting for someone to book an Irish dancing art party because that would have been my theme of choice as a child!

Have a look through our party packages or get in touch for more info - we’d love to chat about any potential ideas.
